α-p52 antibody is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against the recombinant full-length p52 protein.
The human p52 is a unclear protein functioning as a non-TAF transcription coactivator that mediates activator-dependent transcription by RNA polymerase II . The function of p52 is through interactions with transcriptional activators and the basal transcription machinery (1, 2). In addition, p52 could also interact with several cellular proteins including the transcription coactivator PC4, the essential splicing factor ASF/SF2 and the nuclear protein nucleolin (3,4). Recent studies suggested that p52 gene could be targeted by NUP98 gene (5).
Each vial contains 0.2 ml of anti-serum.
Specificity
α-PC4 reacts with the PC4 protein in HeLa nuclear extract by Western Blotting. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis: 1:2000-1:5000. Recommended starting dilution: 1:2000.
Storage
Aliquot and store at -20°C.
