α-TFIIF-RAP30 antibody is an affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against the recombinant full-length RAP30 subunit of the TFIIF complex.
The transcription factor IIF (TFIIF) is composed of 58 kDa (RAP74) and 26 kDa (RAP30) subunits as a heterodimer, and was first identified through the ability to interact with immobilized RNA polymerase II (1, 2). The RAP30 subunit of TFIIF contains two distinct regions with sequence similarity to E. coli factors and can deliver RNA polymerase II to the promoter to support transcription initiation in the absence of RAP74 (2, 3).
Each vial contains 100 μg IgG in 0.1 ml of PBS.
Specificity
α-TFIIF reacts with the RAP30 protein in HeLa nuclear extract by Western Blotting. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis: 1:2000-1:5000. Recommended starting dilution: 1:2000.
Storage
Aliquot and store at –20°C.
