α-RAP74 antibody is an affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against the recombinant full-length RAP74 protein of TFIIF complex.
The transcription factor IIF (TFIIF) is a heterodimer, composed of 58 kDa (RAP74) and 26 kDa (RAP30) subunits. It was first identified through the ability to interact with immobilized RNA polymerase II (1, 2). In addition to its role in transcription initiation, TFIIF can increase the specificity and efficiency of RNA polymerase II transcription, and can especially increase the rate of transcription elongation (3, 4).
Each vial contains 100 μg IgG in 0.1 ml of PBS.
Specificity
α-RAP74 reacts with the RAP74 subunit of TFIIF in HeLa nuclear extract by Western Blotting. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis: 1:2000-1:5000. Recommended starting dilution: 1:2000.
Storage
Aliquot and store at –20°C.
