a-TFIIEa antibody is a polyclonal antibody raised against the recombinant full-length p56 subunit of the TFIIE
The human Transcription Factor IIE (TFIIE) is composed of 56 kDa (α) and 34 kDa (β) subunits and is shown to be a heterotetramer (1, 2). The 56-kDa subunit contains a region similar to a zinc-binding domain and a region sharing homology with the catalytic loop of a kinase domain (3). TFIIE binds to RNA polymerase II in solution and joins the preinitiation complex probably concomitant with RNA polymerase II and TFIIF (4).
Each vial contains 250 μl of anti-serum.
Specificity
a-TFIIEa reacts with the p56 protein in HeLa nuclear extract by Western blot analysis. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis: 1:2000-1:10,000. Recommended starting dilution: 1:3000.
Storage
Aliquot and store at –20°C.
